The login information already has permissions to the physical path of the virtual directory. When this link is clicked, I receive a login prompt, however it will always reject my attempts to login and will deny access to the virtual directory. I am using "Pass-Through Authentication" for this virtual directory. I have a simple link setup that once clicked, will use a virtual directory to navigate to a folder on our file server. I have attempted changes to these with no luck. I also have "Accept" "Extended Protection", and have NTLM as the top Enabled Provider. Currently, I have Windows Authentication added through my server manager, and have enabled the option in the Authentication section within IIS. I am attempting to use Windows authentication to allow only certain users who have access to the physical path of a virtual directory. I am new to IIS and I am trying to setup Windows authentication on our local IIS Windows server for our intranet site.
